STRONG GROWTH IN FINLAND WITH APPEALING MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
THE PREMISE
When Republic and Huawei begun their collaboration in 2014, Huawei’s market share in Finland was 2%. Huawei’s global brand authority gave Republic the freedom to create an implementation that would speak to the Finnish audiences.
THE IMPLEMENTATION
A recognizable, unique, and market-suitable communications style was created for Huawei. A basis of marketing was created and the systematic work to build trust capital among Finnish consumers and stakeholders begun.
THE RESULTS
Huawei took quick steps on the market, first after the successful market entry and later with the Honor 7 launch in 2015. With the Finnish market suitable marketing communications created and implemented by Republic, the company’s market share was increased in a little over a year from a couple of percent to around twenty percent.
In a global press event in November 2016, Huawei revealed that they had gained market leadership in Finland, the first country outside of China where they managed to do so.
During Republic’s and Huawei’s collaboration, Huawei has been rewarded, ie. for the best consumer communications and sponsor activations in Finland. The unique marketing communications model created by Republic became a benchmark for the whole Europe, with Republic offering consultation for Huawei’s highest leadership.
In 2019, Huawei has cemented their position as a brave forerunner in Finland.
